Obtaining the ACA 2: a new stage of climate action

ACA 2 marks the willingness of Brest Bretagne airport to participate in achieving the carbon neutrality that the airline sector has set itself.

In concrete terms, Level 2 of the CBA recognizes, to begin with, the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions on the basis of the calculation of direct emissions (those under the direct control of the airport) against a three-year rolling average.

Brest Bretagne airport has therefore committed to reducing its direct CO2 emissions by 20% by 2026 (compared to 2016).

The next step is to achieve CBA Level 3 by 2024. To this end, the scope of emissions assessment will be extended to all airport partners (indirect emissions). The mobilization of all stakeholders will be essential to implement concrete actions to reduce our CO2 footprint.

“We strongly believe in the need to improve our environmental footprint, including by reducing our greenhouse gas emissions. This label is only one step in the essential decarbonization of our activities.» Claude ARPHEXAD, Director of Brest Bretagne airport.
